I visit http://www.sitepoint.com they have a lot of good articles, and some have links to sites to get inspiration or see what people have made from inspiration.

to look for some inspiration; recently I built a pretty good site
off of "The Hub" AAO Template, from CT

CSS based sites - good for templates to host

CSS Zen Garden offers a nice take on separating content from presentation. If you design templates or host them, this can be an effective approach. Several examples at this site show the same content presented by multiple designers.
