    Shiftify - Review

I would love to hear your guy’s review, opinion’s, and criticism on Shiftify’s design. Thank you!

Note: Shiftify is not complete; I’m aware of the lack of content on several of the pages.

    Love the old-style (40ish?) Soviet/Russian style type.
Also a huge fan of any style of grudge

Also-- I am interesting in knowing how large (KBs)
each page weighs in, with the graphics.

Another thing, it seemed the content is all on the right,
not center, on the order page. Otherwise- two thumbs up

Let me start off by saying I'm a big fan of Russian style. I believe it gives Shiftify a bold arrogances; something fresh in web hosting.

Without content 5 KBs. Our largest page is our terms of service which weighs in at 23 KBs.

Yeah, I've been having some trouble with the order page, mainly the footer. I also need to add the style sheet in, that could be why it's off centered.

Thank you for your review Jonathan I appreciate it. Does anyone else have an opinion on the design? I'm interested in hearing from you.

I like the new look with a sort of industrial spin on web hosting....

I'm not 100% fond of the yellow top or bottom. I don't think you really need the yellow footer... I would just leave it with the cool dirty gradient thing touching the bottom.

I don't like how the headline "WORKERS AND WEB-DESIGNERS OF THE WORLD" gets stretched out since it's justified but I don't know what you could do about it. I guess you could make the page a little wider but I like the formatting of all the pages otherwise.

I really like the red boxes, the font, and dirty background... that’s supper cool and modern!

        Great job I would say!

First impression: your site is communist.

WWW: I agree with you on the stretching of "WORKERS AND WEB-DESIGNERS OF THE WORLD". I will look into in further and see if I can't improve it. Thank you for your opinion, I will take your changes into consideration.

Darren: Could you please explain more in depth. Is that good or bad?

Yeah it does look communist but I doubt it matters. Hosting is more about generating word of mouth then what your site looks like.

Under IE 5.5 the right side is not lining up with the banner at the top. Same in Mozilla 1.6. The "WORKERS AND WEB-DESIGNERS OF THE WORLD" thing seems worse under Mozilla.

              Needs spell chacking, "outmost?"

This just doesn't sound right: "Our social and positive web-community will make it their absolute duty that you will be filled with the outmost[spelling?] supreme satisfaction with your purchase of the [most] highly-affordable web-packs available." My grammar is almost as bad as my spelling maybe worse ... so maybe it's me.

I like it. It not just another cookie cutter template hosting site. Extremely cool design.

"outmost" is a word and is spelled correctly. Shiftify's content writer is British, this could be why.

So far I've tested the design with Internet Explorer 6, Netscape 7.1, Mozilla 1.7, NeoPlanet, Opera 7 and Firefox 0.9. I will check into the older browsers when I can. Do you guys have any other suggestions on other Browsers?

Thank you Buddha for your review. I'll defiantly have my content writer improve on it.

Thank you for the comment Piku. Yes, we are a web host. If you read the second paragraph second and third word in it tells you. Unless you are pointing this out as a suggestion. Is that the case?

Order page has been integrated fully into the design.

well, its really up-to the market you're targeting. with this current grunge look, i think it can cater to younger/urban customers, graphic designers, gamers, etc etc. HTH

On the order page the dark red background makes it hard to read the selected package.
