    cpanel27 Emergency Upgrade

As of approximately 5:30AM this morning cpanel27 stopped responding. Upon further investigation, we've found that there are some hard drive errors on this machine. All attempts to place services back online, such as HTTP, result in a great deal of drive seek errors due to the amount of traffic and various files being used. To ensure that no further problems occur (data loss) as a result of this, we have chosen not to bring services back online. We're currently backing up every account on the server and these will be restored to a completely new server (cpanel55). If you are using gzo.com nameservers, you will not need to make any DNS changes. Otherwise the new DNS information will be posted to this thread later today.

Restores should begin sometime this afternoon. If you have any questions, please feel free to submit a ticket. All additional information regarding this incident will be posted to this forum thread.

If you login to the customer control panel and view your welcome e-mail it should now list cpanel55 as your server along with the new DNS information. If you are not using the gzo.com nameservers, you will need to update your nameservers to use the new IP addresses as they are listed in the welcome e-mail.

We're currently restoring reseller accounts to cpanel55 after which we will begin restoring all accounts.

All cpanel27 customers should now be able to access WHM on cpanel55. Please do not recreate any accounts, we're in the process of restoring them now. This may take a few hours to get them all restored, but we already have all of the data on cpanel55 so it should move quickly.

I apologize for not updating this earlier, all accounts have been restored on cpanel55. So far we have discovered a handful of accounts that were missing a couple of files due to the fact that they got corrupted on cpanel27, but this does not appear to be widespread at this point. Chances are that if you see that something is missing, you will need to re-upload it unless you are paying for our backup service.

All domains that had a dedicated IP on cpanel27 have been assigned a new IP on cpanel55. SSL certificates will need to be re-installed.

If you have any questions at all, do not hesitate to submit a ticket.
