    best domain reseller solution...

Hey guys; wondering, what would be the best Domain Reseller solution?
I'd like to use one that'll accept payments via PayPal, right to me,
that in turn would be deducted by the actual
register, leaving me with a slight profit.

Now, I've only heard of, I believe, DirectI doing this correct?
Except that you must have a standing balance when someone
registers a domain, as it is taken out then and there?

But the point is, DirectI does use some sort of port
on it so the payments can be sent via PayPal?

Is there a way to be a DirectI Reseller without needing
to pay the $75? As right now, it'd be very (cost wise) ineffient,
as I do not have the number of customers to really require it.

Also I hear that you can setup sub-resellers
    with your reseller DirectI account?

You do not need $75 to get going. I signed up with them month or 2 ago, and put in $20US to start for now. Worked for me.

And yes you can have sub resellers as well.

Really? I didn't seem to find a place saying that
no balance was needed; or do you need at least $6.98 or something?

Plus do you place it on your site, or does it go to some
"annoymas" url, thats on their site where the customer makes the payment?

The reason I ask the above, about if its on their site or your's (payment),
is because my site does not have an SSL Certificate, as I use PayPal.

So basicly, assuming it goes to an DirectI payment page, it'll charge them
the price you set, than deduce the $7 or $8 for the domain, and send
the rest to you via PayPal, correct?

From my understanding you can sign up, and deposit what you like. I jsut entered in $20 to test and setup.

They give you an anonymous link. You can create an A RECORD to point to it probably

You can use PayPal with them, or a 3rd party merchant

I think there is 2 ways. One you can use there merchant account, (i think, still researching), or 2 use your own merchant account. You deposit funds into directi account. User buys domain from you, you keep money from user, and directi will subtract funds from your account.

I am still in the process of setting this up. (not a high priority yet)

I think I'll be going with DirectI; does anybody know
if they restrict members to only 18+? Or only those whom
have a checking account + debt card?

<EDIT>Just check their site; guess they
do require a deposit fee of $75....

            http://www.directi.com/resellers/comparsion-chart/ <-- Says "Prepay $75"

Then again, on the pricing page says "If you send in $75 in advance" . . .
Hmm; I'm going to email them and clear that up I think.</EDIT>

I glanced at those. Perhaps if one is reselling they would make sense. But using the domains for my own use, why would one want to go with those resellers when you can get domains for $6.49 plus tax from EV1Servers.net?

Casuse they dont have a fancy reselling interface... And you would have to have your own billing system.
