Well, tonight I had a terrible time

I locked myself out of the mySQL server (on personal comp),
screwed up and accidently deleted phpMyAdmin (2.5.6);

then nearly killed off the comp when I used
DOS Command Promt trying to
flush the mySQL password so I could reset it.

After all this, have yet been able to
get phpMyAdmin working again

Although I try to burn a CD of my latest backups these days.

Go from a 220V power source to a LAN party, switch my PSU to 120V, play 8+ hours of Warcraft/Starcraft/Diablo2, go home forget to switch PSU back to 220V and pop! After buying another $80 PSU and kicking myself......

I use to host with Feature Price ........a couple of years ago, well that was just nasty when they crashed and burned first time , I followed it after that and the second time was worse and I guess the third time ....well who knows and who cares .......

Remember when DVD drives were real expensive.. well I had just bought mine and had the tray open and forgot about it. Well, something caught my attention and as swivled in my chair, my knee hit the open tray and ripped it right out of the drive sending it flying across the room.

Did the same thing when I had just gotten a CD-R (8x, cost me $300 at the time). Amazingly I was able to put it back together, also, I didn't learn and did it again later, and once again put it together again

Similar thing. I was on networked computer (Windows 200 network) and wanted to clear directory so typed del .

w22 reported that I am on UNC path so he cannot execute but he will go back to my local disk and proceed. Message was so alike the usual warning that all data form the directory will be erased, that I did not pay attention, clicked Y and Enter.

In the middle of the deleting job I realized that I am killing folder of my current project...

Most idiotic thing i have done was fdisk the wrong drive....Twice. First time too lazy to back up drive, becuase "I knew what I was doing", and lost all my data. Back ups i had were old, because I was lazy to back up. After getting everything,(well most things) back. I fdisk the wrong drive,(same drive) again. This time I had backups of my data I needed.

That was over a span of less then a month.

Now I have automated backups running every 3 hours, and archiving the previous 3 versions, and replacing the zip disk often as well.
