OK I know that title made you think of Spam, but this is for real.
Someone posted these links on another forum, and lots of people found money, over a thousand dollars combined. A report tonight on Dateline reminded me of these sites.
Search Tips:
Search for your name, spouses name, maiden names, Parents and grandparents names.
Also search for Friends and Family members names (I found a few friends of mine and some of their parents money)
Search in every state you (or your family and friends) have ever lived or done business in.
Search for unclaimed property:
(some sites out there claim you have to pay these links are the state sponsored or free sites)
IRS unclaimed refund search: http://msnbc.com/modules/tvnews/dateline_irs/form.asp
National unclaimed money website: http://www.nupd.com (it requires registration, but they don't spam you)
State unclaimed property sites links:
Take this post and post it on other forums you participate in!
