yep, check out some of the ipowerweb servers and you will relize how good off you are at dathorn.

Their domain services used to be free, but now they charge an ungodly fee, but i still use them for who is..

here is a trick, you can just type www.whois.sc/yourdomain.com
and it will bring up the info

they also have a link u can put in ur address bar to go directly to a whois of the site you are currently viewing, but i cant find the link to it now

        Thats a good idea Kyle

You find out what servers hosting Co's use and run this tool to see how many sites they have on them.

I used this before for myself, but never on others...i could be here all day long.

I wonder how powweb is as well

but remember that it tracks name based hosting, if everyone has there own IPs for their site and nameservers or the server is split up between a few IPs then it doesn't really tell u how many people are on the server.

Well, it must figure it out somehow. I have custom name servers, with only 8 sites using the custom name servers, but it determined the server is hosting over 200 sites when I put in one of those 8 sites. So it must run through the DNS back to the server level.

all 8 of those sites use the same ip as the server, and your custom nameservers are still the same ip as the servers std nameservers.

Nope, I have a separate IP for my domain names.
