    Nameserver Question

I have a domain domain.com hosted elsewhere. It is not registered as a nameserver and uses the others hosts nameservers.

Could I do to my domain registrar and assign ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com the ip addresses of the dathorn nameservers my whm account is on and then begin using ns1 and ns2.domain.com as nameservers for some of my new clients I would like to host here. I would like to conntinue hosting domain.com at the old host for a short period, but begin using ns1.domain.com custom nameservers for clients I am moving here.

    Hopefully that makes sense.

Short answer: yes. Go to your registrar and set up ns1 and ns2 as DNS servers with the IP adressess you got in your welcome email, then use them for any new domain you register. Keep your existing domain on your current dns. When you're ready to switch, you can change the dns servers of your domain to Dathorn's or simply change the A record of your current dns to point to Dathorn's server.

Thanks, that's exactly what I had hoped.
