With the move from Cpanel08 to Cpanel51, I seem to have forgotten how to set up my CNAME entry to redirect traffic from one of my domains to a storefront hosted elsewhere in WHM. Andrew has given me the access.
The instructions say to add a CNAME record in the format of "www.MyDomain.com IN CNAME newdomain.theirsite.theirdomain.com" The new domain name does have the multiple parts as given above (3 "dots" in the URL).
I notice there are already 2 CNAME entries in WHM for the domain; one is in the format "mail IN CNAME MyDomain.com." and one is the symlink "www IN CNAME MyDomain.com." Note that the trailing period is in both records.
Adding the line "www.MyDomain.com IN CNAME newdomain.theirsite.theirdomain.com" as an additional CNAME record doesn't seem to work. Adding it with the trailing period doesn't fix it.
How would this be added?
