    charge for DNS

    I have a friend who has a business and has hosting through his local isp. We were talking about hosting options and he said his isp/host was charging him $8 for Domain Name Server

    Can anyone explain what a charge for a Domain Name Server would be???

      Only thing I can figure is that they're providing him with custom nameservers like dns1.domain.com. If you know the ISP you could go to their website and see what it says there.

          Or do what I do, call them up and act like a future customer and say you have a friend that said that you charge $8 for....
