    SquirreMail problem

    Hey all,

    I download emails form my accout every day (via pop3) but
    in my web based account (SquirreMail ) the emails are not
    deleted.

    I check email, download it via pop3. Outlook should delete
    mails from the server, yes?
    But emails are still present on my web based account.

    please advice

    Do you have Outlook setup to leave a copy on the server? It's an option in your config.

      Hi

      I'm pretty sure that the storage of those mails relate to your email account setting in cpanel. So not SquirrelMail but your actual email account in cpanel. I periodically turn mine on and off when troubleshooting mail problems.

      Then again, I have a forward set on my email in cpanel that sends everything to my ISP pop account (yes - I know I don't have to do this). It is in the set up of my forward that I can decide whether or not to keep a copy of each forwarded mail.

        Having the same issue with a client.

        She uses Outlook to connect to her POP3 account, and has the "leave a copy of email on server" UNCHECKED. But the email remains on the server.

        Any ideas?
