I want Spam Assassin to filter spam directly into my Trash folder (or better yet, just delete the damn stuff) - how do I do it? I set up a Spam folder, but I have to go in there every week and delete the spam. I get about 50 megabytes of junk mail every week - thousands and thousands of spam messages that clutter up my server. I disabled the Spam folder and the spam just goes into my Inbox. If I could get the spam to go directly into the Trash folder, then it can be deleted automatically everytime I log in. I don't care if I lose some legitimate messages. I get 1,500 spam emails a day on one domain alone and I have to get rid of them somehow, otherwise they fill my server space and I get critical messages that my 100 megabyte domain is running out of space. Can anybody offer any guidance?

When I first set up the spam filter, I did it the way you have done. Once I was comfortable, I deleted the "spam folder" or I think it's called spam box. Then, in the email_filtering, set the filter to 'discard' instead of put in the spam folder. That should take care of your problem.
