AOL is blocking email from server 33

i checked the ip at spamcop and spamhaus and it's clear
but dshield.org had some warnings for the ip

aol's site isn't much help, i applied for whitelist status. but i'm not sure if it will help.

any ideas?

Currently in the process of checking my clients email works because he's on AOL.

Applying for the whitelist status as you did will likely only complicate things. Only server/IP administrators should be doing this as you have to have a properly setup e-mail address with them for complaints.

Doesn't appear as of right now to be working, but with AOL I'ld give seventy two hours.

This error message is a dynamic block on our system. Dynamic blocks are placed on an IP address when AOL member complaints go over our set threshold. These are automated blocks that are removed by the system within 24 hours if the complaints are below the threshold.

Love to know who caused this.

i screwed up, i signed for this whitelist without really knowing what it was.
now i get copies of all the email that comes from cpanel 33 to AOL that people think is spam.
we definately have a spammer on this server.

Until we get the feedback loop corrected, please submit a trouble ticket with the full e-mails including all headers.

Totally off topic: But WTF is AOL thinking sending AOL subscriber email to just anyone who signs up for a whitelist? Sh#t, there's a law suit here somewhere! Not two mention a great big security & privacy hole. Of course, it is earily and maybe I'm just not awake.

It's just e-mails that they've selected as being spam, but still, it is ridiculous.

Oh! So it's not all email. Glad to here that, thought my customer was getting email again. I'm sure you'll sort this all out.
