    Outlook 2003 and IMAP email

I've successfully set up Outlook 2003 to access my emails using IMAP.

Everything work's until I try to delete an email - Outlook crosses the email out, but it never gets deleted from the server? Is there a setting in Outlook that I've missed?

    Thanks in advance!

You have to click the Purge Deleted Mail button on the tool bar after deleting it too.

What's the benefit of using imap over pop3/smtp?

I've heard of IMAP before but never used it.

        Cheers!

            Cool

            Never new that. Thanks.
I just discoved "leave mail on server" in Mozilla (never noticed it in Outlook or forgot abou it). So, now I just don't have Outlook started while I"m gone and "leave mail on server" when I'm away. Fantastic.

Correct. Giving us is not good. Perseverance furthers!
