    email without going thru cpanel

What is the best way to access an email account with a web browser without going thru cpanel ?

domain.com/webmail only seems to work for the default email account. I want to access other accounts in the same domain but I can't figure out how.

    update:
I was using "username" for the user instead of "username@domain.com"

This works for the default account, but not for other accounts.
Using the complete email address, webmail works as expected

You could always do a manual install of SquirrelMail

I tend to setup a subdomain for most of my clients.
This way you cen setup redirection to the email script rather than the cPanel interface.

I have the subdomain webmail.domain.com setup to point at https://domain.com:2096/horde/index.php

I'm sure it will work for other email software pre-installed.

Hi - I'm trying to set up the above but it doesn't seem to be taking. The subdomain & redirection are set up but when I go to https://webmail.mydomain.net I get ' the 'connection to mydomain.net has terminated unexpectedly'

Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks.

          try without the https.
The redirect should do that part automatically

Are you behind a firewall that doesnt like secure URL's with different port numbers in them?
Try setting up an inseucre webmail using http:// and the port 2095 instead of 2096 to test it out.

Not sure that's the problem. For example, I can gain access to CPanel before propogation of a site using the port no.

Have also tried 2082 - seems to be the port when I open up the mail.

In the past the setting up of subdomains has been instantaneous - could this just be taking to to set up/click in?

I get the impression that this should be straightforward. It's probably, as usual, something obvious that I'm doing wrong.
