procmail (or other email filtering options)

Is procmail installed and can we create our own local .procmailrc file?

I want to implement more specific spam filtering rules and my spamassassin custom filters aren't taking.

    Thanks

Do you have any other suggestions for how to filter additional spam? I'm still getting over 1000 spams / week. I tried some custom spamassassin rules, but they didn't seem to take.

If you check your email using a client, such as Thunderbird or Outlook,
try SpamPal (add .ORG for the URL). Free, only one or two bounced mails so far.

                Or popfile:
Download POPFile - Automatic Email Classification for free. POPFile is an email classification tool with a Naive Bayes classifier, POP3, SMTP, NNTP proxies and IMAP filter and a web interface. It runs on most platforms and with most email clients.

I use popfile, took a few days to get it to learn properly, but works well now.

Worth the training in the end though

i'd really prefer a server-side solution as i check mail with mutt sometimes. i also want to filter out for some of the people who have mail accounts with me.

                      thanks for the suggestions though!
