    Barracuda Spam Firewall?

I'm not sure exactly where to post this or if I'm better off emailing, but I've been a customer for a couple years and I'm a huge fan of Dathorn. I haven't spent a bunch of time configuring spamassassin but have played around with it and I'm still getting 80+ spam/day. Some of my users (my own damn fault for giving friends/family email accounts) are getting a ton of spam and are complaining to me about it. I urge them to get Cloudmark or something like it but didn't know if Andrew would ever consider offering the Barracuda Spam firewall as an account upgrade. I'd be willing to pay more monthly for this service and I know it would make my clients happier/eliminate the need for me to try to stay on top of spamassassin. No idea how other Dathorn customers feel, but my instinct would tell me that an account upgrade price per month could cover the Barracuda cost (though admittedly I don't know how much that cost is). I think it would be a pretty popular feature clients would want, but figure feedback/replies on this post would verify/negate that.

I don't have any experience with Barracuda, but I agree that Dathorn needs to find an alternative to SpamAssassin. It is not working, and a lot of people are getting annoyed. Our company uses PureMessage, and it does a wonderful job. It 1) keeps the messages out of your Inbox, and 2) can send you a report showing the messages that were filtered, which from there you can "release" the message. I would recommend that Dathorn check out PureMessage as an option.

For now I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird because it is better than Outlook in filtering out SPAM.

Barracuda Spam Firewall Is nice, but check the prices.

Works good, for an ISP, but for a webhost, not too sure on that.

A single Barracuda Spam Firewall handles up to 25,000 active email users and 25 million email messages per day. The Barracuda Spam Firewall is a powerful, enterprise-class solution. Multiple units can be clustered together for even greater capacity and high availability.
Another ISP in the town I live in has one, not sure how much it curbs their spam issue though, since we are a competitor.
Hosting at Dathorn since March 2003!
