SMTP is not working on my Mozilla mailtool

I used Mozilla as my mail tool for more than a year and it worked fine for me until recently.

Now, I can receive mail, download mail and delete mail with no problem but I can not send mail. Whenever I tried to send a mail, a dialogue box popped up and asks for password, I entered my password but the same box popped up again and asks my password... I can not send anything out!! Now I have to use my webmail to send. WHat a pain!

I updated my Mozilla today to 1.7 hoping that will fix the problem but it does not.. any suggestions?

Try resetting your password - Also, (doesn't sound like this is the case) has your isp started to block smtp (mine does) - Solution: use their SMTP..

I think it has something to do with the interaction between Mozilla mailtool and SMTP server because after I was trying all different things and found now that I can use outlook express to send mail.

SMTP server works with Outlook express but not with Mozilla mailtool. What a strange problem!
