Is there an email attachment size restriction?

What is the size restriction of email attachments? My email account has 50 MG, and each day multiple times a day, I synchronize my email with Outlook, so there's rarely anything stored on the server.

4 days ago, someone tried to send me a 3.5MG PDF attachment, and today I finally received it. In the meantime, the sender got this message a couple of times from Mailer-Daemon@cpanel27.gzo.com:

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

zzz@zzz.com
mailbox is full: retry timeout exceeded

This same issue happened 2 other times last week with 2 other senders trying to send 2 different emails with files of 3.5MB and 1.97MB, respectively.

There are no attachment size restrictions other than that of the e-mail address disk quota and that particular domain's disk quota, one of which was clearly an issue based on the error messages you posted above.

Might try logging into cPanel, going to webmail > Horde, and check to see what's in your mail. I've recieved much larger attachment with no trouble.
