    Mail server refusing messages

    Hello all.
Every once in a while and without any apparent reasons my mail server singles out a mail sender refusing to accept incoming messages. There are mailing list I'm subscribed to that every few months want me to resubscribe due to excessive bounced messages. Other servers refused connection belong to local government entities and a UN research center. The last such occurence was 3 days ago, and the sender managed to forward me the error message:

    > Hi. This is the qmail-send program at web.dotcom.ts.it.
    > I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
    > This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

    Some context:
69.41.236.98 is my dedicated IP on cpanel17, which is otherwise 69.41.233.33
    SpamAssassin is disabled
The recipient address is correct and Default Address (catchall) is enabled anyway
The server does otherwise happily accept mail from the rest of the world, up to 300 messages a day

    Any idea?

You'd probably be best to submit a trouble ticket in this situation.
