Questions about secure access

Is there support for encryption when emailing and ftp'ing? I thought I had it working with Filezilla one day, but now I can't seem to get it to work again. I would also like for my email clients to communicate with the server over an encrypted connection.

ssh/ssl/tsl - implicit/explicit ??

Oh, and I've never actually been in a shell on this server.. is there shell access, or does WHM does tease me?

There is shell access, you need to set it up per each cPanel account when you create the account however. It's a jailshell too, not that that should matter.

FTPing you should be able to get working with SFTP. It's just like FTPing over an SSH conncetion.

Emailing, i'm not too sure on this one
