Javi, here's what I did...
1. upload files
2. create a database while uploading
3. import SQL/mysql.initial.sql
4. rename main.inc.php.dist to main.inc.php
5. rename db.inc.php.dist to db.inc.php
6. Modify variables in those two files
7. Go to roundcube and got a 500.
8. Deleted .htaccess from main directory
9. Go to roundcube and all works well.
The contents of my main.inc.php, in case it makes a difference, are as follows:
