copy e-mail to a second address

We just switched over our e-mail accounts to a DIS server, and our admins want to automatically get copies of eachothers e-mails (as they did on the previous, non-cPanel host).

Is there a way to set this up with forwarding rules?

This can be done using the forwarding rules

To access the Mail Menu, click on the icon above the word Mail on the main screen of your cPanel interface.

2 Click on Forwarders to access the Forwarding Maintenance menu.

3 To add a forwarder, click on Add Forwarder.

4 Put the name of the email address you wish to forward from in the first blank field. For example: for name@domain.com, put name in the first blank field.

5 Place the email address you wish the email to be forwarded to in the blank field next to the

6 Click on Add Forwarder to add the forwarder.

You can find additional information on CPanel at the following URL:

With its world-class support and rich feature set, cPanel & WHM has been the industry-leading web hosting platform for over 20 years. Trusted worldwide by our technology partners WordPress, CloudLinux, LiteSpeed, and more.

Thanks for your reply. l was reluctant to try this without some confirmation that it will work. Just to restate the problem:

a1@example.com should receive both mail sent to a1@ but also mail sent to a2@. By setting up a forwarding rule from a2@ to a1@, you're telling me that a2@ will still received her e-mail, but a1@ will also get a copy?

I know this sort of thing is possible with *nix .forward files, but I don't know if this directly maps into cPanel. I looked at the cPanel docs yesterdy, and they aren't very technically oriented.

I just now did sent this up, and it seems to be working. However, the cPanel message is misleading:

"All email sent to a2@example.com will now be redirected to a1@example.com"

In fact the mail is copied to a1@, but a2@ still receives the message (I assume becuase a2@ is a valid account).
