Preventig FTP access from all except few IP adresses?

Die to recent attacks that involve keyloging ftp passwords I would like to protect sites by setting them to accept ftp logins form just few known IP's. Cpanel offers option just to add denied IP's.

Is there other way to achieve this?

Unfortunately this cannot be done. Even the deny IP address option in cPanel only applies to HTTP.

Pedja, that's a great idea. I'm surprised there isn't an .htaccess directive that would apply to FTP access or to the port it uses, but I couldn't find one.

Actually I vaguely remember that ProFTPd had something like that (.ftpaccess or whatever)... Am I mistaken?
