    gzo.com Certificate for Thunderbird?

Is there some way I can get a soft copy of the gzo.com certificate to import into Thunderbird?

I have several email accounts on my various web servers and use Thunderbird to access them. I have to constantly click on the confirmation box that Thunderbird gives me because the certificate (from gzo.com) does not match the domain name, and adding the gzo.com certificate should eliminate the problem.

I decided to post it here instead of opening a Help Desk ticket because I suspect that others may want the same thing at some point.

    Thanks,
    Tom

Your email client should allow you to save and trust this directly. Alternatively you can change your mail server settings to use the server's host name instead which will of course match the certificate.

Thunderbird doesn't give an option to save or install the certificate, so changing the server might be the best option. The ironic thing is that it will probably save the cert once I change the server in the config...

Appreciate the help as always, Andrew.

      Best regards,

        I've just found this:
The Remember Mismatched Domains extension for Firefox and Thunderbird adds a "Don't warn me again about this certificate for this domain" checkbox to the Domain Mismatch and Expired Certificate warning windows. When selected the domain...

        Might be worth a try.

FYI changing the server name worked for me in Evolution some time ago.

This addon worked just fine. I confirmed each server certificate after I installed the addon (after checking the box, of course) and haven't had a problem since.

            Path of least resistance...

            Thanks,

Hey, nice timing. I was just popping in to ask the very same question.

One further question, though: If I wanted other users to be able to login to their mail accounts without having to install a plugin, and without setting up their mailserver using dathorns domain, what would I do? Is the only option to buy an ssl cert for my domain?

There really aren't any other options. The mail service SSL certificates are server (not domain) specific.

Edit: Just to be clear, though, they can still check their email without the plugin or changing their mail server. This particular thread was just in reference to the use of SSL and the warning message.
