    need help sorting this out

    Hi,

I have a problem and I hope you guys can help.

I have a website im working on, www.blueskyyfunding.com . It has a ip address of http://69.41.239.102/ and is in cpanel15, under my account.

    The DNS is at DNS17.REGISTER.COM 216.21.234.79 and DNS18.REGISTER.COM 216.21.226.79.

The MX record is pointed at mail.blueskyyfunding.com, which points to 24.248.98.186 .

Now the problem is this: the site has forms. Lots of it. The forms are supposed to go to info@blueskyyfunding.com . But the thing is, its not going to that email address, instead its going to b1u3skyy@blueskyyfunding.com, the default email address of the account im hosting. We tried sending it to different email addresses and it works fine, its just not sending to info@blueskyyfunding.com (the email address is live and working by the way)

I dont know what to do. I tried redirecting the MX record at cpanel, change the default email address, nothing.

    Please help.

Think you need to disable email on that account since it no longer using it. Not really sure how you do that.* But might try set the number of email accounts to zero in WHM.

*just read that bold line again would ya plz?

Can you send anything to the info@ account or just not from the forms? Have you tried recreating the email account? Have you verified the correct mailto: address in your forms?

openbox: I can send email to and receive from info@, its just that the forms were sending it to the hosting account's default email address..anyway, its a moot point now that the client has decided to point the DNS to the dns#.gzo.com nameservers and Andrew fixed the MX records...

The forms were being sent to the default email address of the hosting account, so even if i set the number of emails to 0, the default email address would still be there, right?

Yes, unless you set it to fail or blackhole all email with no recipient (which is what i do)

The only other way I know to fix the problem is to disable Exim server wide but don't think Andrew would go for that.

Isn't this the problem where email generated on the server will not follow MX routes but instead sits in the domains box? Seems to me that it is and it effects email even generated from a different domain on the same server.

Only way I know around it is to edit the /etc/localdomains file and remove that particular domain. Only way to do that would be to submit a trouble ticket and I'm unsure whether they'd do that.
