mail forwarding problem

When I try to forward email ,I create a forward as I always did but then I get an error message:

All email sent to user@mydomain.com.au will now be redirected to user@anotherdomain.com
Fatal! Write Failure: /etc/valiases/mydomain.com.au. Ignore any messages of success this can only result in failure!

Anyone can help ?

I checked /etc/valiases/ this doesn't exist.

However, a few forwarders I created some time ago still work and are still shown in forward options.
