    Mass Email Deleted

On one of my domains, all the email was wiped out this afternoon. (Had around 13 email accounts) but it didn't affect any of my other domains and everything else seems to be fine. Does anyone know what could have caused this? I thought about a virus, but then it would only effect the account their email program had access to.

Also, is there a way I can investigate via server logs or such? Luckly I signed up for the backup service on cPanel13 last week, so worst case I can restore the daily backup.

The odd thing about this issue, is that the mail folders (with the indox, ect) were deleted, yet the POP/IMAP accounts still exist. This is not possible, to my knowledge, unless a user (with access to those directories) went in and removed them. I (and dathorn and the server) are the only users with access to the directories. The password for that account is not something easily guessed.

I discovered the cause of the problem. The mail directory was somehow moved into the "public_ftp" directory.
