    Multiple Folders?

I'm using Squirrel to get my webmail.

I've got a domain set up, and a parked domain as well. Both resolve correctly, and browsing happens. Hooray.

I've also configured an email address that isn't the same name as my domain's "Main Account" (i.e. under Mail Account Maintenance there are two rows, one for the "Main Account" and one for an account I can adjust).

I've made the default address for both the main domain and the parked domain = this second email address. I've used the full email address, both identical -- i.e. Default address for domain1.com = foo@domain1.com, and default address for domain2.com = foo@domain1.com

I've enabled Spam Assassin, and the Spam Box.

I mention all of the above, because I don't know where the problem is coming from.

My problem is this. When I log in via Squirrel, I'm not seeing new mail correctly. There are some emails in the root, but nothing new. When I click on "Folders" I see a lot of unexpected folders, including "domain1.com/foo/spam" and "domain1.com/foo/inbox" in addition to the expected ones. The menus under "Create Folder", "Rename a Folder" and "Delete Folder" all include INBOX, INBOX.Drafts, INBOX.Sent, INBOX.Trash, and domain1.com/foo/inbox. The "Subscribe" box contains domain1.com/foo/INBOX.Sent, domain1.com/foo/inbox, domain1.com/foo/spam, domain1.com/foo/.mailboxlist, domain1.com/foo/INBOX.Drafts, domain1.com/foo/INBOX.Trash, foo, domain1, and domain1.com/foo

When I subscribe to domain1.com/foo/inbox, it comes up under my folder list on the left panel of Squirrel, and if I select it, it contains a different collection of messages than my main inbox, including all the new messages I've received.

Have I done something wrong in configuring my domain? Or is there a flaw somewhere?

Worse, it appears that SpamAssassin isn't processing the messages which are appearing in "domain1.com/foo/inbox" (which is all new mail).

    Ack, help!

Bizarre - and now those other folders are gone...

along with some of the mail in them. Ah well, nothing critical. I think.

        I am such a dolt.

For anyone else running into this, I was logging into webmail as my domain's root owner, rather than as this second user 'foo'.

So, of course, it was letting me access 'foo's folders as distinct from my own folders.

        Duh.

        Thanks for your attention.
