Alerta uptime reports!

Looking at the uptime reports for server cpanel25 I realised that 29mins, 3secs of downtime corresponds to 99.879% uptime, whilst 48mins, 43secs to 99,891% ! How can this be possible?

The percentages may be in correct, I know I've noticed some mistakes in them before as well. It's the actual downtime values that really matter.

These look OK to me; depends really on how often October (which changes with every minute) is refreshed by their system.

September is completed. If you figure a 31 day month has 44,640 minutes, and then divide 49 minutes by that, you come up with .109767, which, when deducted from 100, is equal to 99.890. That's the number for the completed month of September, and pretty close to Alertra's 99.891%.

For October, only about half the month is gone by ... 17 days at 24 hours per day times 60 minutes per hour at this writing ... 24,480 minutes. Dividing the October 29 minutes by 24,480 gives you .0011846. Deducting that from 100 gives you 99.998% Alertra is reporting 99.879, so its under-reporting the percentage of uptime by a tenth of a percent or so.
