Some issues with scripts after Cpanel 17 Upgrade

Afer the recent upgrade on Cpanel 17 all the sites running Gallery can't upload, I suspect it maybe as simple as a CH MOD issue, does this sound correct...

Also I have a classified ad script running that will not post ads I suspect the same thing there .....

Any suggestions would be welcome

just tried uploading an image to gallery (v1.4.4-pl6) on my site on cpanel17 via the upload form and that worked.
I did noticed i lost a subdomain after the upgrade.

Andrew resolved the issue it seems netpbm wasn;t installed which I guess it was on the old server... so it' s resolved,( Thanks Andrew) now to try and get the classified script working....
