Need to access raw server logs

Hello,

I need to see my raw server logs but when I download the zip file and extract it all I get is a new window that pops up and is completely black. No prompt, no nothing.

How do I view my server logs?

Should be able to download the raw files thru cpanel (should be an icon for it(know in x2 skin there is one)). should be a .gz file I believe. Winrar should extract it, then open/analyze.
