Alright. I hope I didn't break anything. If I did, sorry to those people on cpanel21.
Anyways, I was trying to install a self-signed SSL certificate for a subdomain of a domain. So here's the steps I followed. I generated a key and a certificate in cPanel for my subdomain. I then went to WHM, copied the keys & certificate, and then filled in the subdomain, and the username and IP address self populated. Cool. I clicked "Do It" up top, and it claims to have installed the certificate, restarted httpd, and said it was successful.
So I go check on the domain. And it forwards to dtbackoffice.com (someone else screwed up?). And tells me:
Sorry, the site has been moved. Please use the new IP assigned to your server.
In fact, any https request to cpanel21 (https://cpanel21.gzo.com) forwards there.
My question is: do I need to request a separate static IP to run a self-signed certificate that I generated on cPanel (with that IP address)? And did I break anything in the process (any more than the guy w/ dtbackoffice.com did)?
Thanks all.
