Not receiving email notification for subscribed threads

I made sure it's enabled in my profile, and its set to send notification instantly. Folks reply to my one thread, but I dont get a notification through email.

I DO get a notification for the one forum "Announcements"

Make sure subscriptions are set to instant in your "subscribed threads".

My question is if there is a way to get "instant" subscriptions to the announcements forum.... only options I see are daily and weekly updates.

That REALLY blows!!! I know a lot of users hate the idea of having to check the forums every day for major updates / issues.

ahh... I remember the good ol' days when forums would notify you of new threads.... those were the days!
