    Sugar CRM

Sorry for this silly question (I'm rather inexperienced), but am I allowed to install SugarCRM?

    Thanks,

    Nick

You can install anything that hasn't been banned by Dathorn. Installing isn't difficult (especially if the script can be installed from cpanel), it's maintaining the script that can be a problem. Keeping your installed scripts up to date is very important for the security of your server not just your site. You should install only the latest (stable) version of SugarCRM. cPanel usually doesn't have the latest version.

Not a silly question at all.

In my experience it is best NOT to install from cpanel as this can lead to running out of date scripts (security issues etc), check out the sugarcrm website and download/install the latest stable

Any questions (newbie or not) feel free to post - There is always someone willing to give you a helping hand here!

I am trying to install SUGAR and am getting

        Anyone encounter the below?

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@crm.contractorsconnection.ca and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I would look at the htaccess files for PHP settings. If you find any they need to be move them to a php.ini file in the same directory.
