    Been here for a while

WEll, I don't know...I've been a happy camper for a long time...haven't had to call on any help for a long time...server has been popping real good...haven't put in a trouble ticket for a long time...until today.

Response to simple stuff running over an hour. Anyone can you call Andrew and see who's on duty? Andrew must have taken off for the weekend.

OK,OK...I may have trashed my site but if I cannot get the backups before they backup again...I'm toast.

I've already responded to your ticket. You can reset your own backup password via the customer control panel, there is no need for us to do this.

A tip of the hat to Dathorn

I had just "blown up" my website and came in Sat morning to fix it only find that my weekly backups were daily due to a miscommunication and my stupidity of not checking it before I needed it. Without a backup and without coding knowledge of textpattern php and mysql I thought I was really screwed. I was looking for help, sending out emails, when I remembered the "repair" button in myphpadmin. Another push of the button fixed all...plus, a by product was after looking around myphpadmin I noticed I had one millon entries combined in three statistics tables...would that be slowing down my shopping cart as it seems had been happening over the last 6 months or so? Ha, ha....ok, I was nervous when I pushed the "empty" button and it asked me if I wanted to "truncate"...did the largest table first, about 500k entries...checked the cart...oh, yeah, response time noticeably up. "Emptied" the other 2 tables and checked again: the pages just drop BANG even on a modest connection.

A million entries is a million entries...it must be a design flaw, though...unless it just needs to "manage" the table as additions are made...doesn't make sense to me really...seems like it should just ignore the million entries and just append the new ones.

Anyway, Andrew, as usual, was diplomatic and professional, again, providing top quality service, which I don't think is found in too many other places. This is one happy Dathorn camper. Thanks, Andrew!
