Why is my site down when ping and traceroute work?

Right now my sites are down (server not found). But when I ping or traceroute the server, those both come up roses. Can someone explain why a ping or traceroute would work when a browser wouldn't?

Other sites (not on Dathorn) come up fine in the browser, and it's not an ISP problem -- I have 2mbps bandwidth.

This seems to happen more often late at night (when I work a lot) than during the day.

I love a mystery. However, without some specific domain names no one here is going to be much help. Might submit a trouble ticket if your not willing to share specifics which I can totally understand.

[I did check a few of your sites and they all came up. Only about 5 domains though.]
