    Allowing URL "hits' vs. redirects

    Looking for some opinion here...from a marketing view do you think it is better once you have acquired all the www.namesthatmatter.com for your product/company: 1) that you create accounts/packages for each one and install at least an index.html so that the spiders can find these accounts as separate entities; or, 2) simply put re-directs to an already existing URL relevant to the acquired www.namesthatmatter.com URL?

    Does that make sense?

    Other thing: how does one access the /home/dis-1025/cpanel3-skel? I cannot find it FTPing or Cpaneling as the historical post indicates.

    Please enlighten me. Thanks and regards, Felipe

    You need to login to FTP with your WHM username and password. If you are still unable to find it please submit a trouble ticket for support.

      Thanks, Andrew...it finally got through to my brain pan that it is the WHM log in....hmmm, yes, that IS logically, because that is my "root" log in...Duh!

      It's good to learn something new in the morning.

      What about the URL question? anyone...anyone...? Thanks.

        As long as you use 301 redirects, to avoid the duplicate content penalty, number two is OK.
        1) that you create accounts/packages for each one and install at least an index.html so that the spiders can find these accounts as separate entities;
        Number one seems like a lot of work unless your putting up for sale signs.

          url, spiders and work

          Thanks, Budda. Yeah, that's my take also. Just looking for some confirmation. I need to research the 301 penalty...I didn't know about that, but I had a feeling the spiders were smart enough to know that.

          I don't mind the work. Nothing's for free, verdad?

          What isn't for sale? Regards, Felipe
