    Movable Type Installed, Archives Forbidden?

    Just installed Movable Type, and while everything seems to work fine and it installed flawlessly, I'm really baffled as to why the Archives directory (and everything in that directory) listing is pulling up as 'Forbidden'. I haven't changed my .htaccess file at all.

    Here's an example:

    Before I send a ticket, I thought I'd post here in case I did something really stupid. I installed it into my cgi-bin, but don't see how that would affect it.

    Thanks in advance!

    I have not installed MT in a while but make sure that the Local Archive Path is the same as the Archive URL on the MT config page;
    • /home/username/public_html/weblog/archives
    • http://domain.com/weblog/archives/

    Also chmod the archive folder accordingly.

    I used to have a few MT sites here and they ran flawlessly. You also might want to check out the the MT Forums

      Thanks, I already tried the two things you mentioned (verifying paths and CHMOD). It all seems just fine.

      I've installed MT several times before, though this is the first time I did it into the cgi-bin. I'm just baffled.

      I'll try the MT forums...then report back, just in sace.
