    cpanel34 overloaded

Sorry for posting here, but I lost my Helpdesk login password, I sent an email asking for my password but haven't got reply.
cpanel34 is overloaded today. The server can be pinged but all services are not responsive. This happens a couple of times today. It's happening right now and the my last Putty screen shows the load of 227. Looks like a script named mt.cgi caused it.
Can you please look into this server? I started to get complaints from customers.

I was just made aware of this, apparently it has crashed several times this morning and I will be watching it as best I can to locate the exact cause of this and get it taken care of.

MT.CGI - that's a part of Movable Type, the blogging app, isn't it?

If there were any bugs or vulns found with that that sent it into runaway resource-eating mode, it would be handy to know what they were.

It was indeed a process of mt.cgi that was causing this, ended up using >50% of the system memory for god knows what.

MT generates static pages. That isn't a problem usually unless a change affect the entire site. MT was probably just regenerating pages and on a large site that could a problem. Watch those template changes people they can be done off the server and uploaded.

Went looking for vulnerabilities and found this:
