I don't know much about teamspeak / ventrilo VOIP stuff (yet)...
But several of my friends started using ventrilo and teamspeak while playing mmorpg.
I started looking into buying VOIP hosting...
But since I already have webhosting with Dathorn, I thought I could ask some questions about the possibility of VOIP hosting with Dathorn.
I know I'm not allowed to install the server software... but is it even a possibility to have the teamspeak or ventrilo server software installed on Dathorn servers?
If it can be installed... will I even be able to manage a VOIP server?
I also have questions in my mind as to how much bandwidth it would typically take... but that's not really a question for the Dathorn crowd (unless one of you already have an idea). I was contemplating running a test server (if I could even be allowed to have the software installed) to get a clue on bandwidth.
Yeah... so... I'm really clueless on this.
If anyone can help me out or give me the right questions to ask, it would be appreciated.
Any advice or experience with VOIP stuff would be appreciated actually.
