    php 4.3.10/ suexec

this may be a stupid questions but what is the difference. If I am investigating loading scripts on my server what do I look for?

if the version of php (4.3.10) or (phpsuexec) or both??

I don't want to buy a script and then find out php is the wrong version.

    Kind Regards,
    Peter

The servers run PHP 4.3.10 WITH phpsuexec.

Ask them specifically if the script will run with phpsuexec ... that's usually the thing that is the issue.

Most scripts will run under phpsuexec, but it requires different "file permissions" than the script can be looking for. The authors of the script should know what has to be done, and if they don't, or don't care to research it to find out, chances are the support they would give you on other issues would be in the same vein.

I've only found a few clinker scripts out there with horrible support; most of the authors or their user communities are happy to help. You can always ask here if any of us have installed the scripts as well; then you would know they work on Dathorn's servers and also have someone "local" to lean on for help.
