PunBB - probably missing something obvious..

Pardon my newness, the last time I tried installing a forum was several years ago (*shame*).

I'm trying to install PunBB on a subdomain of my main site. The package attached to the subdomain allows a set number of databases to be created, but each time I try to run the installer for PunBB, I get:

An error occured on line 55 in file /home/cupsp/public_html/forum/include/dblayer/mysql.php.

PunBB reported: Unable to select database. MySQL reported: Access denied for user: 'cupsp@localhost' to database 'C-UPSP'

I assume I'm supposed to give it my regular username to connect? Thanks in advance for any advice.

You need to create the database in cPanel first. What you have to bear in mind is that the database will take the form of cpanelusername_dbname.
You then need to create the username and password for that database in cPanel. Once again, the username for the database will take the form of cpanelusername_dbname.

Well how cool is that.. thanks! Especially thanks for the bloody-near-instantaneous reply on a day when the rest of the web is virtually dormant!

Hope it works out. I would've replied myself but
