Any tips on determining a scripts resource & memory usage?

A site of mine was suspended because a script got a little resource greedy. Now I'm looking to fix it, but I'm not sure how to tackle the problem.

Any suggestions?

If it's a small script, post some code and i'm sure we can take a look and point anything obvious out
