    Any suggestions? Gallery software

Well I finaaaaaaaaaaaaaally got this old film SLR to get
working and now have some actual photos I wanna toss
up on the web. I need something simple, just enough so
I can upload photos with comments with anybody being
able to view them and/or make comments on them, or
maybe rate them? I thought there was a post asking
the same thing (or nearly) but I could not find it after
searching so I'll post it here. Thanks

Oh yea it'd be a bonus if it has
    categories and even sub-categories

I would recommend Gallery, it's setup under your c-panel and will do all you want and more

    Cheers,

I have used both, and I actually like Coppermine better than Gallery.

Both are good programs, and easy to install.

Do you know about any gallery software that can allow having multiple categories and the same image listed in several categories?

              I haven't looked through this...

... so not sure about category support, but jAlbum has come highly touted.

Well I installed Gallery and must say I love it so far
Seems to fit my needs, though first install went abit rough (couldn't log in??)
just went through the install steps again and got it working right.
Still no idea what I did wrong the 1st time. Anyways you can see
                it if you want: http://fire-fox.info/jastro/gallery
Not really concerned with blending it to any of my site(s) that'll link to it.
