zen cart setup can't see mysql database

hi guys, i get the following error when trying to use the zen_cart setup:

    "database does not exist"

I am using the following settings:

    dbase type: mysql
    dbase host: localhost
    dbase username: cpanelusername_dbaseusername
    dbase password: cpanelusername_dbasepassword
    dbase name: cpanelusername_dbasename

and i have also tried dropping the cpanelusername part in front of the password, and it still doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas? Any help would be much appreciated!

    I'm no expert in databases...

...but I have set up a few applications via cPanel.

Your instinct not to put the username in front of the password was the correct one, I believe.

Are you sure you remembered to add the user to the database?

Other than that, I can't see anything you're doing wrong.
