    Trouble creating new database

I am trying to install an ATutor Learning Content Management System on one of my sites, but it will not work.

As I am setting up the system, I get this error:

"Unable to select or create database bryan"

ATutor suggested it may be a MySQL upgrade or something. What could this be?

ATutor has its own web based installation program that sets up the LMS properly. When it attemps to connect to my SQL database, it gives me the error.

    Any ideas?

Did you go to cPanel and create the database throught there first? "bryan" doesn't sound like a cPanel database usually it prefixes the name with your account username, AFAIK.

      Problems connecting to database

Yes, I Created the database, then created the user, then connected the user to the database.

      The username is actually planetv_bryan.

      Edited: URL Removed.

Not a good idea to post that link publically.

Besides triple checking "Manage Mysql" in cpanel ... I'm out of niffty ideas.

Then the base should be normally be prefixed with planetv_ . E.g. use planetv_bryan as the dbname and the same for the username. There is no way you can create an arbitary named database. ALL databases will be prefixed automagically with the current cPanel's username.
