That cache only works if you're not using WordPress 2 i believe. WordPress 1.5.2 is still pretty fast i think.

I have been playing around with some of my plugins recently and i have noticed that one of them was being loaded on every page instead of the Archives page. This was putting up my query load a fair bit.
I think the theme i use makes a few more queries than the default theme too. So it could be a relative thing really

The problem was indeed the cacheing it seems. The older version of Mambo only held the querie in the cache for 1 second as the default, the new version and Joomla holds it for longer.

They are testing and going to try and see what happens.

And by the way I am not chargeing them for hosting, they are a small community group and this is my donation to them.

They say that the newest version works well with WP2 too. Hm.. haven't found time to give it a try myself yet, but anyway.

            1) http://mnm.uib.es/gallir/wp-cache-2/ - the cache is was talking about
            2) http://lightpress.org/ - alternative (faster) wordpress2 front-end

I did try the WPCache2 thing, but couldnt get it to cache any files.
I think it may be something to do with running APC

              Nevermind!
