max_user_connections

I have a phpbb site that occasionally throws the mysql max user connections error. Can the number of allowed connections be increased? Or is it a ceiling that I should try to stay under? (which may require a lot of caching or moving to a different host)

If you are reaching that limit then you are very likely reaching the limit of our shared hosting in general. If you submit a ticket we can look into this a bit further.
