    perl script to backup /public_html, tar/gzip, then upload to ftp?

    anyone know or got any script that can do this? ... anyone, anyone, bueller?

    why not use a PHP one?

        Hi,

        I have a shell script that does all that and more. Check out this page for more details. It's inexpensive and I provide support.

        Note that it also supports multiple-generations, so you don't end up with a single backup that just has corrupted or hacked files or databases.

            probably 2late, but here's the post:
            There were a couple of these posted in the previous forums and I'm rather bummed that I didn't acquire them when I had the chance. If anyone has scripts they've used in production to email and/or dump the mySQL database (or certain tables) to another server, please feel free to drop them in the forums again. I remember one
